Wendy is the General Manager, Indigenous and Community Engagement at Sodexo.
Wendy is the driving force behind Sodexo Australia’s 10 year commitment to Reconciliation through the development and implementation of four Reconciliation Action Plans which prioritises employment, training and business enterprise opportunities with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians on whose traditional country and waterways Sodexo operates. Wendy has also established the Sodexo RAP Steering Committee which is chaired by the Sodexo Country President.
Via a multi-layered and long-term approach to supplier diversity Wendy offers support to Aboriginal businesses from beginning to end, collaboration with Clients and ongoing leadership and guidance for improved organisational culture, which all support supplier diversity and sustainable commercial outcomes for local Indigenous businesses.
Wendy holds a Diploma in Front Management and an Advanced Certificate in Public Administration and has 24 years employment experience in the Aboriginal affairs sector. Before joining Sodexo in 2009 she was employed as the Director of Strategic Projects for the WA Department of Indigenous Affairs and the Executive Director of Policy at the Department for Child Protection.
Wendy won Supply Nation’s 2016 Supplier Diversity Advocate of the Year award.
