Lee Houlson is a highly qualified procurement, contracts and risk management professional with extensive commercial experience dealing with blue chip clients across a number of industries including commercial construction, electricity infrastructure, oil and gas production, mining, aviation and defence industries.
In her current role as the Head of Commercial and Procurement Function at BAE Systems Australia, Lee’s role includes responsibility for category management, commercial and procurement governance, learning and development, inventory and warehousing, business improvement, systems and tools, and functional performance and reporting.
In addition to Lee’s core role, she is the enterprise champion for Indigenous Opportunity which is a key pillar of BAE Systems Diversity and Inclusion strategy.
In 2016, BAE Systems was the first Defence company in Australia to publish a RAP, with Lee leading the RAP working group.
Lee is also the relationship manager with strategic partner, the Indigenous Defence Consortium, who is working with BAE Systems to identify opportunities and drive initiatives for Indigenous employment and engagement of Indigenous businesses in BAE Systems’ supply chain.
