Julie is a dedicated Kamilaroi entrepreneur, fully linked with the Canberra Innovation ecosystem. A participant in Canberra’s Innovation Network, a contributor to the ANU’s International Business Competition, a Griffin Accelerator participant, and a strong supporter of Indigenous business, being a mentor to aspiring Indigenous entrepreneurs. Having owned several Hairdressing Salons during her 26 years in Hairdressing, Julie now owns three businesses including the Award Winning Dilkara Essence of Australia, Highly Recognised Dilkara Hair and Desert Spirit, a tri- cultural consultancy company.

Julie was the winner of the inaugural Supply Nation Indigenous Businesswoman of the Year Award at the 2017 Supplier Diversity Awards.
