Herb Smith is the Founder/Owner of DREAMTIME TUKA, an Aboriginal Business situated in the small country town of Wellington New South Wales. This new and innovative business is supplying Indigenous flavoured food products nationally. DREAMTIME TUKA aims to create recognition of the nutritional and gourmet value of native foods to people of all nationalities both in Australia and across the world.
Herb offers to consumers the opportunity to taste the gourmet food range and extends the opportunity for corporate Australia to engage with a 100% Aboriginal owned company. This will assist in creating local industry that promotes employment and training of Aboriginal people.
Herb was a ‘career police officer’ with the New South Wales Police Force for 31 years until his retirement in 2004. Before devoting his work fulltime to DREAMTIME TUKA, Herb was involved in implementing New South Wales Government Programs into the Aboriginal community. Herb’s Native Food supply business, has achieved great success as a corporate supplier of bulk gourmet native flavoured foods. This Aboriginal business has gained National recognition, launching a product on the 31st March 2016 on all QANTAS Domestic flights across Australia and Herb himself being featured on the front page of the 2016 Westpac Group Annual Report.
