Adam is the Assistant Commissioner Strategic Procurement and Contracts at the ATO.
Prior to joining the ATO August 2016, Adam Pase held a range of senior procurement roles across the Asia-Pacific region, spanning the FMCG, pharmaceutical and automotive sectors. Prior to joining the ATO, as GlaxoSmithKline’s Hub Head of Procurement ANZ/North Asia, Adam led a team of in-country procurement heads and regional category leads through multi-tiered SRM rollouts, integrated M&A deals, BPO projects and strategic category management implementation.
Adam’s approach to leadership is to develop his staff through empowering them and developing their stakeholder relationship management capabilities. Adam is currently leading a transformational change program to embed strategic category management across the ATO, developing staff procurement and contract management capabilities into a Centre of Professional Excellence and aligning procurement objectives to the ATO strategic intent.
Adam’s particular interest in accepting the SES role at the ATO was the opportunity to lead and build on the ATO’s award-wining success in implementing the Indigenous Procurement Policy. Adam is passionate about developing Indigenous participation in the Australian economy and increasing awareness of the value of Corporate Social Responsibility and SROI (Social Return on Investment) that this means for our Indigenous communities.
Adam holds a Bachelor of Business (with Distinction) from Swinburne University and is a recognised expert in strategic sourcing, category management, business risk management, transformational leadership and BPO.
